The Santino Story – Coffee Specialists Since 1978

Santino Coffee Singapore began in 1976, when Ricky Kang started roasting traditional Nanyang-style coffee — the rich, torrefacto brew that has long been part of Singapore’s coffee heritage.

As the city grew and tastes evolved in the 1990s, Santino embraced change too. We introduced Western-style espresso coffee, blending the best of heritage and modern café culture to serve a new generation of coffee lovers. 

Today, Santino is proud to be one of Singapore’s leading coffee roasters and equipment partners, working with cafés, hotels, and restaurants across the island. We’re also honored to be the world’s first Rainforest Alliance–certified Nanyang coffee roastery, reflecting our belief that great coffee should also care for the planet.

Now led by Yiyang Kang, the second generation of the family, Santino continues to grow with his guiding philosophy — “Innovation Grounded in Heritage.” 

Yiyang’s journey bridges tradition and specialty, combining the heart of local coffee culture with the pursuit of roasting excellence. Trusted by competition baristas across Asia, his passion has helped Santino become a hub for learning, collaboration, and
community in the coffee world.
