A French press is a fuss-free small-batch coffee maker best for making strong and round coffee. This gentle brewing method doesn’t scald the beans and allows for maximum flavour extraction.
Making French press coffee is pretty straightforward:
Step 1: Add a heaping tablespoon (7-8 grams) of coffee grounds to the carafe with hot water.
Step 2: Stir gently.
Step 3: Carefully insert the plunger into the pot, stopping just above the water and ground coffee (do not plunge yet).
Step 4: Steep for about four minutes.
Step 5: Strain by pushing the plunger downwards with steady pressure.
Step 6: Voila! Pour and enjoy your coffee.
